As a lefty myself, it's one of my favorites as well. You have to laugh at the image of Eglon's servants standing awkwardly outside after Ehud leaves, wondering, "Well, do we go in? He's using the bathroom, right? He's taking an awfully long time... we should probably check on him, right? We should totally check on him. "
This was so fun to read, seeing a story in a whole new way. Very clever use of clipped speech (I can hear the monotone dictation of it) for a military communique-style tale!
Definitely Out of the loop on the scripture involved but love the premise. Can you point me to where I can have this spelled out? Fun read!
Judges 13-16 😁
Oh, Judges. You gotta love it. Ehud the left-handed assassin, Jael and her Tent Peg to the Head maneuver... good times.
Ehud and Eglon is my favorite story in the entire Bible.

That, and the image of Ehud's sword getting sucked into Eglon's innards because he was just so darn hefty.
Man, what a way to go.
OH MY WORD. This was great, Michael!! Such a creative retelling!!
I can just see some angel writing that report.
I can see him shaking his head.
I can see him checking the calendar and snickering.
What a fantastic read. A job well done.

I giggled a little when it quickly became clear what exactly this was about, amusing spin on that narrative.
