Live with Michael S. Atkinson

A recording from Michael S. Atkinson's live video

A few notes on this, my livestream:

  • In personal conversations, I am horrible at starting sentences and not finishing them. Evidently this carries over into my livestream too.

  • When I first brought up AI, for example, I was going to reference how you’d think we’d have learned and taken lessons from the dangers in AI after all the science fiction books and movies: the idea of Skynet alone should’ve been on point.

  • I also need to do better on responding to people in chat: a few times in the livestream I think I responded without saying who I was responding to, so it probably came off as a bit chaotic

  • Emil Blonsky was the Abomination in the MCU; Jen Walters in She-Hulk had to get the waiver to defend him in her series. I forgot his name in the livestream.

  • I almost meant to note that Wonder Man and WandaVision, among other projects, were really excellent Marvel projects; also, the one superhero movie I started and never finished was Ang Lee’s Hulk movie. Mind you, I’ve seen Zoom, the one with Tim Allen that was basically Temu X-Men. I’ve seen Superman IV and Batman and Robin. I’ve seen The Marvels, Hancock, even the 2015 Fantastic Four movie that Josh Trank did]. Ang Lee’s Hulk is the only one I never finished. I will probably remedy that at some point.

  • St. Raymond of Penyafort’s story is told in more accurate detail here:

  • There was a terribly embarrassing moment of what is the equivalent of dead air on the radio partway through; what happened there was Lego Groot’s headphones fell off and I had to reassemble them. It happens.

  • Anywho: if I do any further livestreams, I’ll probably try to make it a tad more orderly. Prepared notes or something. Etc.
