Hello, all:
It’s been a week, personally, mostly because our medically complex child, E, got sick to such a degree that she required hospitalization. It’s been a rough go, as she’s still only just six and is understandably not keen on being here and undergoing the unpleasant things that happen at hospitals. Things are getting better and hopefully the end is in sight and we should be home Monday; also, Winston the guard triceratops is here on post.
That said, if you would pray or think kindly towards our little one, I would be deeply grateful.
Writing Update
I didn’t get much done on the novel this week for obvious reasons, although I did find out that the puppies of Paw Patrol have superpowers now thanks to a meteor, so there’s that. I hope Ryder did due diligence on the meteor because meteor-derived powers, in my understanding, don’t often turn out well (see Smallville, the Chronicle movie, Vandal Savage in Justice League and other media).
Meanwhile, there are approximately five episodes left in the Gaseous Girl serial; after which comes the origin story of Captain Happily Married, Super Soccer Mom, and their arch-nemesis Professor Irreconcilable Differences! Unlike the prior serial, which was spruced-up work brought over from Wordpress, this will be entirely new and unplotted! At least it is now; I’m very much considering drawing up an outline, which isn’t usual for me. We’ll see how it goes.
Closing Time
On that theme, though, do you know why a room full of married people is actually completely empty?
…
There’s not a single person in it! #Badumpsh
Until next time,
Michael
I'll pray for your daughter and your entire family at Mass this evening 🙏
