The Tao of Michael's Musings
Fellow ‘Stacker
had an idea to collect five Notes we’d written, organize them into a post, and call it the Tao of [username]. The specific post is below for reference:Herein, therefore, is what you might call the Tao of Michael’s Musings:
Try to be realistic when you’re writing about people flying around hurling flame blasts and supersonic hiccups at each other.
It’s one thing when someone writes something that makes you laugh, but when you write something that makes someone else laugh, or yourself, or both, that’s… well, that’s something.
Why overthink things? (Who am I kidding? I overthink the heck out of things.)
Battleship is a good movie even if it was a flop commercially. Aliens vs. the U.S. Navy? It’s just cool.
If you ever go ice-skating and you’re Catholic, you can implore the help of St. Lydwina, patron of ice-skaters. I know this in part because I once read a humorist named Theresa Bloomingdale who wrote that she didn’t like to call on the well-known saints in a crisis, as they’re bound to be busy.
Here endeth the lesson. Go forth and do likewise.
Until next time,
Michael
